Sample Egypt Tour Itinerary
Day One: US Departure
Day Two: Cairo
Cairo - arrival and evening at leisure.
Day Three: Cairo
Cairo - capital of Egypt and guardian of its treasures. See the Egyptian
Museum of Antiquities with its treasures from Tutankhamen's tomb,
the Great Pyramid of Giza which is the only surviving monument of
the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the Great Sphinx. In
the evening, enjoy the Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids.
Day Four: Cairo - Alexandria - Cairo
Alexandria - through the fertile Nile Delta to the 'Pearl of the Mediterranean'.
See Pompey's Pillar, the Roman theatre, the catacombs of Kom el Shuquafa;
drive the 15 mile corniche past Qaitbay Fortress to the National
Museum, see the Library of Alexandria and the Montaza Gardens.
Day Five: Cairo - Memphis - Saqqara - Cairo
Memphis - see the Colossus of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx.
Saqqara - visit the Step Pyramid.
Old Cairo - see the al Moallaka Church (Hanging Church) and the Ben
Ezra Synagogue, then enjoy dinner and Egyptian Folkore on a floating
restaurant on the Nile.

Luxor
Day Six: Cairo - Flight to Luxor to board ship - Dendera - Temple
of Karnak
Luxor - visit first the Temple Complex of Luxor before boarding our
cruise boat.
Dendera - following lunch on board visit the Temple of Dendera, built
by Ptolemy VIII in 1st century BC.
Temple of Karnak - enjoy the Sound and Light Show.
Day Seven: Luxor - Edfu
Option to take hot air balloon before sunrise over the west bank of
the Nile for unforgettable views of Luxor's temples in the peaceful
glow of dawn.
Visit the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens, the Deir el
Bahary Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.
Day Eight: Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan
Edfu - visit the Temple of Horus.
Kom Ombo - see the Temples of Sobek and Haroeris, where in ancient
times sacred crocodiles basked in the sun on the riverbank.
Day Nine: Aswan
Aswan - where we visit the Aswan High Dam, the ancient granite quarries
to see the enormous Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Isis rising
from the waters of the Nile on the island of Philae.
St. Simeon Monastery - following lunch we travel by camel to visit
the monastery.

Feluccas on the Nile
Day Ten: Aswan - Islands of Elephantine and Kitchener - Aswan
Following breakfast on board we disembark and check into hotel.
Islands of Elephantine and Kitchener - which we visit by felucca sailboat.
Day Eleven: Aswan
Day at leisure with option to visit Abu Simbel by air.
Abu Simbel - where the two temples carved out of solid rock by Pharaoh
Ramses II more than 3000 years ago are considered among the most magnificent
monuments in the world.
Day Twelve: Aswan - Cairo
Afternoon flight to Cairo, followed by farewell dinner and departure
to USA
Day Thirteen: US Arrival
