- Departure: Today we begin our holiday, and begin our trans-Atlantic
flight.
Saturday
- Salzburg: Upon arrival in Salzburg, we will be taken to our hotel.
Later, we'll enjoy our mini-walking tour of old Salzburg, which will
include the Cathedral, St. Peter's Church and Mozart's home. Overnight

Sunday
- Salzburg: This charming city is one of the most beautiful cities
in Europe. This day is free for religious services, to explore Salzburg
on your own, and to enjoy the festive Christkindlmarkt. Overnight
in Salzburg. (CB)
Monday
- Salzburg / Oberndorf / Nuremberg: Today, we visit Oberndorf - home
to Stille Nacht-Gedachtniskapelle. It was here that "Silent Night"
was written. Later, the remainder of the day will be at leisure in
Nuremberg. (CB, D)
Tuesday
- Nuremberg: The city of Nuremberg is one of Europe's finest medieval
cities with its massive walls and formidable watchtowers. Following
our walking tour, there will be time to visit Germany's finest Christmas
Market. The Christkindlmarkt is at its most romantic in the evening
hours. Overnight in Nuremberg. (CB)
Wednesday
- Nuremberg (Excursion to Rothenburg ob der Tauber): Today, we visit
the imperial, walled city of Rothenburg, where there will be time
to shop and enjoy the market. Overnight Nuremberg. (CB, D)
Thursday
- Nuremberg / USA: Today we'll begin our return journey home. (CB)
Friday
- Chicago Departure: Today we begin our holiday, and begin our trans-Atlantic
flight.
Saturday
- Munich / Oberammergau: Upon arrival in Munich, our tour manager
will greet us, and take us on a short walking tour of Munich's Marienplatz,
and it's famous Christmas Market. Later, we motor to Oberammergau,
a world-famous resort known for its Passion Play, and for its woodcarving
shops. Overnight Oberammergau. (D)
Sunday
- Oberammergau: The day is free to explore Oberammergau, and its festive
Christkindlmarkt - to shop the many woodcarving stores, ornaments
and local crafts, and to enjoy a Christmas concert. Overnight Oberammergau.

Monday
- Innsbruck: Motor through the Alps to Innsbruck, the capital of the
Tyrol. Following our walking tour of this 700 year-old town, there
will be time to visit the holiday market. Overnight Innsbruck. (CB)
Tuesday
- Oberndorf / Salzburg: Today, we visit Oberndorf - home to Stille
Nacht-Gedachtniskapelle. It was here that "Silent Night"
was written. Later, the remainder of the day will be at leisure in
Salzburg. (CB, D)
Wednesday
- Salzburg: The wonderful squares and passageways of Salzburg are
the setting for its Christmas Market. Here, your eyes will be delighted
by toys, candles, and walnut-headed figurines. Overnight Salzburg.
