Oberammergau Passion Play 2010
Our most recent major travel project was once again a resounding success and Trans World Travel would like to take this opportunity to thank all group leaders and clients, who entrusted us with their tours to the Oberammergau Passion Play in 2010.
We transported more than 2000 guests, booking 16,000 hotel nights,
using more than 40 coaches and travelling through 10 different countries.
John Gibbs, President of Trans World Travel said:
"In spite of the
difficult economic situation in the years preceding 2010, we were not
only able to meet our targets, but also achieve our main objective
of providing this lifetime experience for so many travelers. The success
of the season can be measured in the large number of group leaders
who have already planned future tours with Trans World Travel."
Tour manager
and co-ordinator Sue Jackson is based in Europe and was responsible
for the day-to-day running of the tours.
"At TWT we spend three
years planning the Passion Play tours, then the season seems to fly
past in the blink of an eye. Some of this is down to the excellent
organisation in Highland Park, which makes our job 'on the ground'
so much easier. But also TWT travellers arrive with such a curiosity
and thirst for knowledge, that it is a joy to be able share our culture
and history with them."
Group leader Fr. Jim Presta had traveled
to the Oberammergau Passion Play with TWT already on three previous
occasions.
"For such a major event which happens only once in
ten years, you have to be sure to work with travel experts you can
trust 100% to deliver an unforgettable experience. The expectations
of our travelers are that much greater and Trans World Travel always
goes the extra distance to ensure complete satisfaction."
Pastor Ken Klaus had this to say:
"It is one thing
to lead your flock in prayer, quite another to lead them across the
ocean into foreign lands. Trans World Travel was with us every step
of the way, planning and advising even the finest details. The breath-taking
scenery of the Alps, the historic cities, the cultural exchange, but
most of all the spiritual experience of the Passion Play provided us
all with a lifetime of memories."

Of course you will have to wait until 2020 for the next Passion Play - if
that is what brought you to our website, then you can find out more about the Passion Play history here.
Reformation Tours
In the meantime you may be interested in our other pilgrimage and leisure
tours to Europe, which are being organized for a very special celebration in
2017 - the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation.
The years leading
up to this anniversary have been designated as the 'Luther Decade' by the German
authorities and we shall be organizing tours every year, following in the footsteps
of Martin Luther to all the sites connected with the most important events
of the Reformation.
