For those who prefer to be independent and plan their own itinerary, or do not have the time to join one of our tours, we have a limited number of packages available from May through September, which include only the accommodation in Oberammergau and first-class ticket to the Passion Play.
Two-Night Independent TourDAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY
Day 1 - ARRIVE OBERAMMERGAU
Afternoon check in at the Hotel Wittelsbach in Oberammergau between
4pm and 6pm for two overnights. The Hotel Wittelsbach is one of the
best and most traditional hotels in Oberammergau, family owned and
operated for many generations. It is located in the heart of the village,
just a few minutes walk from the Passion Play Theater. (D)
Day 2 - PASSION PLAY PERFORMANCE IN OBERAMMERGAU
The morning is free to explore the charms of this picturesque Alpine
village, famous for the skill of its wood-carvers and its houses
decorated with frescoes. Lunch is included at the hotel before the
first part of the Passion Play begins at 2.30 p.m. There is a break
from 5pm to 8pm for dinner at the hotel and the evening performance
finishes at 10.30pm. (B, L, D)
Day 3 - DEPART OBERAMMERGAU
Breakfast is included this morning before checking out of hotel by
9am. (B)
