Day One: US Departure
Day Two: Stockholm
Stockholm - arrival and evening at leisure
Day Three: Stockholm
Stockholm - Sweden's capital city is built on 14 islands connected
by 50 bridges, so often referred to as the 'Venice of the North'.
See the Royal Palace, Storkyrkan Cathedral, the picturesque Gamla
Stan medieval quarter, the City Hall where the Nobel Prize banquets
are held and the Vasa Ship Museum.

Stockholm
Day Four: Stockholm - Uppsala - Mora
Uppsala - cradle of the Swedish Kingdom, which is still the religious
capital today. See Uppsala Cathedral, the oldest University in Sweden
and Uppsala Castle.
Mora - heart of the dales area known as Dalarna, on the edge of Lake
Siljan, this is rural Sweden at its most traditional.
Day Five: Mora - Lillehammer
Journey through green valleys and dense forests into Norway, whose
very name means 'the way to the north'.
Day Six: Lillehammer
Lillehammer - Norways premier ski resort and host to the winter Olympics
in 1994. See the Maihaugen Open Air Museum, where more than 160 relocated
buildings recreate traditional village life in rural Norway.
Day Seven: Lillehammer - Geilo - Voringfoss Waterfall - Hardanger
Fjord - Bergen
Geilo - vibrant mountain village.
Voringfoss Waterfall - the highest and most powerful in Norway.
Hardanger Fjord - from the Atlantic Ocean to Hardangervidda mountain
plateau is 111 miles, making this the third longest fjord in the world.
Day Eight: Bergen
Bergen - Gateway to the Fjords and the most characteristic Scandinavian
city with its harbor and timber buildings. See Torget, the colorful
fish and food market and Bryggen, the oldest most authentic part
of the city; perhaps ride the cable car to Mount Floyen or visit
Troldhaugen, the villa of Edvard Grieg.
Day Nine: Bergen - Stalheim - Sognefjord Cruise - Flam
Stalheim - spectacular panoramic views of Naeroydal Canyon with thundering
waterfalls.
Sognefjord - leisurely cruise along the world's longest fjord
Flam - nestled deep in a tributary of Sognefjord, even the name means
'little place between steep mountains'.
Day Ten: Flam - Borgund Stave Church - Oslo
Borgund Stave Church - best preserved and most typical of Norway's
medieval wooden churches from 1150.
Day Eleven: Oslo - Overnight Cruise to Copenhagen
Oslo - Norwegian capital and royal residence,
where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded each year. See the Cathedral,
Royal Palace, the Vigeland Sculpture Park and some of the rich collection
of museums - the Viking Ships, the Fram, Kon-Tiki or perhaps the Norwegian
Folk or Munch Museum.

Day Twelve: Copenhagen
Copenhagen - the 'city of merchants', which is Denmark's capital city
and seat of government. See Christiansborg Palace, the sailors' church
of Holmenskirken, Amalienborg Palace, the Tivoli Gardens and the
Little Mermaid.
Day Thirteen: Copenhagen - Roskilde - Copenhagen
Roskilde - first capital of Denmark and cradle of Danish Christianity,
whose Cathedral houses the tombs of 39 kings and queens.
Day Fourteen: Copenhagen - USA
